Actually, the writing is going amazingly well since we made our pact. I put the wip I was working on aside, though, because brand new sparkly idea jumped up and stole my undivided attention - and this one I'm really really happy with... though it's waaaay darker than anything I've worked on in the children's realm before...
I'll worry about that later. This one's YA and I've got a little more leeway with how deep it gets, I think.
Excellent! I'm all for sparkly new ideas that bring fresh energy! I think YA does open up a lot and even welcome a depth and darkness not really comfortable for younger readers. Very cool.
I wish I could say the same. But I did just scribble down a scene sproutlet this morning. We'll see if anything grows out of it.
