Miscellaneous post about boozing squirrels

My friend sent me this lovely boozing squirrel in a comment on myspace a few days ago... her comment ran something along the lines of, "They're playing again today, better start drinking early" For those of you who are not Cubs fans, you might not get this... but we had a bit of a rough patch... er, em... okay, we'll they're the Cubs we have rough patches continually and then, being Cubs fans, two or three wins will bring back our eternal optimism...

Okay, all of that is off the point. I lurved the squirrel.... and, as those of you who were also avid Miss Snark fans can attest.... this is probably a quite fitting tribute to the absence of Miss Snark and Killer Yap... So here's the question of the hour - is he drinking in victory celebration or from loneliness?

I lived near Wrigley field for several years and was an avid Cubs fan. I definitely feel your pain!

I think he's just drinking because he can!

Wrigleyville is a great place to live!!! I love going to the games, there's so much energy in the neighborhood, and those old brownstones are spectacular... though way too friggin expensive. Now that I think of it, it also depends on when you lived there... it wasn't such a great neighborhood a few years back.

One vote for drinking because he can.. personally, I think he's drowning his sorrows over the loss of killer yap.

Darn. I tried to post this comment last night "Toasting Miss Snark", but something weird happened with google and blocked me from signing in.

Toasting Miss Snark is a pretty good guess, wordvixen.

I've been having some trouble with blogger lately, too... I'm wondering if I've loaded my blog with too much stuff... I've added pictures and the blogging chick blogroll this week.

I say he is sad because he can't find his nuts.

There's an interesting theory, Travis... maybe he'd do better with a pair of glasses than beer, though ;-)

Thanks for stopping in.
